... well I lie a little here, we had a really good lunch so dinner consisted of an gelatti (my new addiction is chocolate & mint!!) on the walk back home and Justin dished up a brilliant cheese and crackers platter for dinner.
It is starting to feel like our day consists of eating, looking, eating, walking, eating, collapsing:)....but the trip so far has been fantastic. We take one day at a time, just a bit of pre-planning but mostly "what shall we do today".....
Today we visited the Wawel royal Castle. It serves as a royal residence and the site where the Polands' rulers governed Poland for five centuries (1038-1596). We then enjoyed a beer and wandered round the market ...
... by jumping off the top of his own tower.
[Truth - watchtower needed to see in all directions so 2nd tower lower]
Watchman in tower and sees advancing Tartars who are coming to invade. Starts to play trumpet as a warning but gets shot in the throat by an arrow fired by the Tartars over the city wall so the melody gets cut off halfway through.
Essentially George and the Dragon but in this case 'George' is a shoemaker, not a knight
