    ... us turned on their car lights to reveal there is no possible chance of getting out. I guess only stupid people would contemplate it!

    We head to Lake Soci and end up at Kamp Koren, Kobarid for 3 nights. Kobarid has the Soca River running through it and is in the Triglav National Park.     ... We drove to Skocjan Caves which was amazing!! and Chris drove stick shift very successfully- woohoo! Slovenia is a really underrated country- it is absolutely stunning and the people are just so kind! This may be my favorite place now on our trip. We just made it to Ljubljana this evening, did some exploring around the river and had a great dinner at a cute tapas bar close by. More to come soon from ...

    ... I have never seen anywhere are the hay drying racks, a free standing structure of horizontal wooden bars with a narrow pitched roof, a bit like the wall bars in the school gyms of my youth! The freshly mown grass is laid across the bars to dry, a bit like home made spaghetti! After all this excitement we have another good meal at Okarina and head home.     ... an easy walk although not wheelchair friendly. But the views are stunning, photos do not do it justice, you can see to the bottom of deep pools where perch and trout loiter avoiding the fishermen further downstream. The waterfalls and rills of fast running water are mesmerising and we walk for about an hour then stop for the inevitable coffee and water back at the ticket office before coming back into town ...

    Today we are moving to Lake Bled for the remaining 4 days of our holiday so this morning we walked back down to town for a final wander round and a coffee before heading back to pack and move on. Ljubljana is a beautiful small town, very quaint lots of cafes and restaurants, currently not too busy although we were outside the main holiday period by a week or two.
