... He knows Torun a bit and quickly led us to the places on my list of "must-see's." We even had a coffee break (with horrible coffee) on one of the boat ancored on the Vistula and serving as restaurants.

It was a fun-filled day with beautiful weather and I was glad that after years of wanting to come here, I was finally able to make it. Staszek took us home in his work car, which may not have made the trip shorter, but definitely more fun.

According to my notes, the house my dad lived in was at #18 3 Maja. My dad remembered a brick wall with glass on top, which I think was right across the street. He also said something about a courtyard in the building and living in one of the apartments ...
