We went with out wine as we still had a big day ahead of us .We entered the walled city with the rest of the hordes of tourists and made our way up and down the hilly lane ways .Siena is the home of the Palio horse race which is run every year.

... We road through Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, San Marino, and Greece. Each country has its own language, own road signs, own tollway procedures, own gas station fueling procedures, own cultural closing business times and own restaurant menus. Matteo explained to us that the ...

A few hills to be climbed; we are all challenged in the heat. Marc manages to excel himself with a superb picnic featuring prosecco and fantastic cheeses, and salads. Well fuelled we manage the narrow paths and a few hills to the quiet town of Casciana Terme, famous for its ...

Part of the fun of having breakfast included is you never quite know what you are going to get. Overall, we have had some pretty good food and selection. Every so often, the breakfast is better than most. Today is one of those breakfasts. There is Bruschetta, fresh little mozzarella balls, tortes, hard boiled eggs, olives, salami, prosciutto, fresh tomatoes, fresh squeezed orange juice, and cappuccino or cafe latte. Other items as well and it is all fresh. We may have to walk ...
