... However, Angela took exception to my cavalier attitude and decided to sleep in her clothes on top of the bed, with the lights on!

We had some wonderful cavatelli in honor of Angela's sister Jean who loves the stuff. Angela had hers with ragu while I had mine with seafood. C'mon, we were in a port town after all!

... and vegetables. The next morning before we left we went for a walk along the nearby waterfront, with views of Sicily, just metres away. Our hire car was large by European standards, a Ford Focus wagon, so we hoped there weren't going to be too many tiny roads to negotiate. Off we set, driving along the road that hugged the coast. After about an hour we drove through small towns where the locals were cleaning and sweeping outside their shops and in the streets there ...

Today the Government owns 70% of the properties. In recent times the area had been inhabited again, café, shops, boutique hotels - and is now listed as a UNESO World Heritage Site.

... by itself. Has told me if I want packed lunches to take on tours he will organise food for me. Feeling very "special" these days!

Docked at Bari in Italy today. Lots of fisherman on the wharf set up in stalls selling their fresh fish. Quiet around town being a Sunday. Back on ship now and Merv is watching rugby in the sports bar.

Looking forward to going to Katakolon ...
