We unfortunately started to loose daylight at about 5pm and chose to head back into the valley on a different route, down a rather steep track, which took us a good few miles out of our way, but at least we were on a known and made road. They remained there for almost 70 million years, until the African and European plates collided, forcing the earth’s crust upwards and raising the Dolomites one final time.

For the past 80 million years, seasonal wind, water, and ice erosion has taken its toll on the ...

        ... in all
this mist I heard music. I listened carefully trying to work out what direction
it was coming from. With the wind it was hard to hear and so I walked about
trying to see or hear what it was all about.

        Just
then i saw some light in the thick mist and sure enough it was this great hotel
and sure enough they came to my rescue.

        Was
it just luck or was it simply another miracle to happen in my life??
