... down the West side of Stelvio to the historic town of Bornio and then head over the wonderful Gavia pass and then just make my way from there.
Well as you will see things as usual on this trip did not work out.
I packed my boxes and went outside into the wonderful fresh air to load up the bike. It did not feel too cold but my poor bike was covered in ice and on looking at the temp gauge it was indicating the temp was a fresh little -2 Celsius.
... The plan is to eat early tonight because John has insisted that we all join him and Laurie and Cyndy and Tom and Colette (who have already had this experience) in the downstairs bar for a digestivo to celebrate our fantastic week up here in the Dolomites!
Tomorrow we head for Tuscany and the next part of our adventure . . . Now we just have to figure our which pictures to share. Between the two of us - we have LOTS! ...
... of the mountains for a 25 euro parking fee and just walk around them. The walk is not difficult and does not go up or down a lot. So it is relatively easy. There are certain places where if one suffers from vertigo, then should pass them without looking down too much. However it is not a "via ferrata" where one is climbing on some chains hammered into the side of the mountain.
Four days flew by and it was time to move on further south to the coast close to Comacchio by the Adriatic ...

pleasant driving. This is a main north-south arterial route.
Stopped at Camping Corones. Luxurious site, with heated
sanitary facilities and a heated outdoor pool, but somehow we did not like it.
Full of Germans and very “ordered” parking.
