must be a big bikers road in summer.
Finally I arrive into the wonderful town of Heiligenblut. This town is kind
of built right on the edge of a mountain and to what I could see is a massive
tourist destination. It has a massive church perched right high up on a massive
piece of rock which is an amazing sight to see.
Photos taken and I continue up this wonderful pass but something ...

They would race out onto the wrong side of the road then suddenly have to push in about two cars ahead to avoid a head on collision.Twenty miles further and the clowns are still plodding along in the same queue of traffic but only about ten or so cars ahead.

Tomorrow we head for Tuscany and the next part of our adventure . . . Now we just have to figure our which pictures to share. Between the two of us - we have LOTS! ...

... planning to make in the following 4 days while we were staying there.
we even got a tip from the owner of the place to go visit the "Museum in the clouds" 20 min drive from there. First we descended in the valley then we climbed up on the other side all the way till the road stopped. From there we got into a bus (tickets 6 euro one way) and got onto this old military road going up into the clouds. It was morning but that day the mountains were shy and were hiding behind a veil ...

      Back to Austria?

A travel blog entry by rolandandlinda on Sep 18, 2014

Time to leave Valle Verde. Decided to give Austria
another try as we are hearing that the weather has improved. However, with low
cloud this morning, there is little point in going over the high Dolomite
      passes.

Decided to go north through Moena and then west over a lower
pass to Bolzano. As expected, the low cloud made for little viewing of the
      mountain peaks.

Went north to Bressanone but stayed on a ...
