... for so long is that we ended up getting to see the sunrise over the ocean – needless to say, beautiful and amazing. We crashed in the hotel for a few hours, waking up in search of . . . more Mexican food. So Dan and I headed out to a different little taco shack, wondering where the rest of our party was, and considering eating and then heading home. Just as we finished murdering our burritos (to the tunes of JURASSIC PARK – I really felt like my ...
Busan, Busan, Korea Rep. maryberry... br>The next morning we bid adeu to Busan and caught a flight to Jeju island. It was raining pretty hard when we got to the airport and as we went through the gate there was a bus waiting for us. We thought it must be a bit of a drive to the plane, but once on the bus it was only a 10 second ride as it flipped a U-turn and parked with the door on the other side so we could get on the plane without having to get rained on. Amazing!
Busan, Korea Rep. heatherann... With the sight of this, we loosened up * bit. But *t first, we were thinking to ourselves "um, wh*t the f--- is this guy SAYING?!" We didn't know if we were h*ving * fire drill, OR WHAT! After they get off very quickly, bec*use nobody bought * w*tch, we st*rted our engine. I st*rt finding my se*tbelt *nd figure out how to f*sten it when Kolin s*ys, "H*! You're re*lly going to put th*t on?" I stopped de*d in my tr*cks, turned tow*rd him *nd ...
Busan, Korea Rep. ct_sigchi... those things. It's just that, I'm finally content with the fact that it's not my time for those things...no matter how much I want them. I don't feel like I'm being adventurous when I up and move to Korea--or do whatever "crazy" thing I'm going to do next--I'm just trying to quiet the nagging in my soul.

I've learned that I'm happy right now....and that it's the first time I've been happy in a long time.

I've learned that ...
Sajik-tong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... re everywhere. I'm not sure what the ratio of churches to Buddhist temples is....I'd be interested to know though... There are so many of each.

Having spent the last three Christmases (? not sure if that's spelled right...) at Michaels Arts and Crafts--where Christmas season begins in August--it was a little strange this year not really seeing ANYTHING remotely Christmas until well into December. I found ...
Sajik-tong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymelI went to costco today here in Korea. Its not really like it is back in the States, a lot of the items are a lot more than you would think they would be. Anyway, I took 238,000 WON with me, the final price came to 232,000! I was pretty happy I didnt have to send anything back. It feels good to not have to eat out every night, and much healthier too. Thats all.
Ulsan, Korea Rep. rafflesterraceBig event here at Onchun Middle School!!! I wasn't really sure what to expect, and was a little worried about being "forced" to participate in a 100 Meter Dash.... Luckily, the teacher's weren't expected to participate. Sports day consisted of (of course) the 100 meter dash, tug-of-war, group jump roping, a 1/4 mile relay(i can only guess as there's not really a track), and a staff on kids soccer game--the male staff, and the best ...
Sajik-tong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... on Saturday night, and we met some cool people. There are a lot of universities in Busan, so there are a lot of students and foreigners in those areas. I found out that after a year of teaching experience, you can become a professor at these universities... Something to keep in mind. Great on the resume, and a big pay raise.

On Friday, Anne and I were invited to join one of the international ...
Namp'o-dong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... Mara coat instead. · Cabins 525 & 527 The ferry cabins we were upgraded to for the trip to (cabin 525) and from (cabin 527) Fukuoka in Japan were damn comfy. They had a window (yes, only one), a TV and a sink (but no bathroom) and were warm and quiet. The beds had those puffy, down-filled duvets, the ones you wrap yourself up in and feel all small. We liked our cabins so much that we both slept for the ...
Busan, Korea Rep. byrnedm... and the ice storage cellar of said fortress. At this stage none of us were talking, instead choosing to save our energy to battle the heat. We made one final push to Gyeongju National Museum where once again we fell upon the air conditioning like it was a long lost friend. There was plenty to see in the museum but at this stage we were so knackered from the heat that after about 20 minutes we retreated to the museum's cafe where Conor & John ate very dubious ...
