Packing up yesterday paid dividends this morning as we were quick to check out and get on the road. We ate in the town last night and had one final sauna / swim before bed & an early start today. The drive today is one of the nicest we've had. It's a long way, 4 hours, but mostly through towns and resorts so lots to look at - stunning scenery; more wooden houses bursting with flowers, over flowing as if in competition (maybe they are?) and big mountains, really ...

... and walked for a while until the path was better and finally reconnected with the road – what a relief. It was still quite steep so our brakes got a good workout but it was exhilarating to go along with no effort whatsoever; in fact I was quite disappointed when we eventually reached street level.
