... many buildings to photograph and bore people with.
As I write , we have just pulled into a railway station, which has an enormous parking station, just for bikes, and is a commercial centre, what with all the shops, mainly offering food.
Lubeck is on the River Trave, and has many recreational anglers, the fish are definitely there, we saw them from the banks. We took a twenty minute train ride to Travemunde at the mouth. This place has ...

... Stralsund. This is a Heritage listed Hanseatic town and well worth stopping at. Small and compact and an easy walk around. More huge churches, cobbled street, tall Hansa houses and two excellent street singers. We had a fantastically good sausage at a busy cafe where the locals were queued for meals. The weather cooler today and finally we had our warm clothes out of the bags. A cold wind off the sea. Back to the motorway ...

... maybe like Pisa. There is a very pretty riverside promenade where we sat outside at the Potters restaurant and had a meal and large beers while the sun went down and temperatures dropped. Moved inside to the warm for a cuppa before the walk back through quiet empty streets to the car. Stayed at Arnimsruh Garni Hotel. €89 including ...

... meaning a Fisherman's village. It was a neat place to explore. When we got back to Malchow, we visited the DDR/GDR museum set up in the old picture theatre premises. It was small and all the things were out on display, not in cabinets etc. You could pick things up and look closely. Most of the items were everyday things from 1950's, 1960's, 1970's in East Germany. Yuk - rayon shift dresses! Started raining early evening. Off to Rugen Island ...
