... down the tour we think) but Pete snuck a few anyway. Truly awesome experience. After the ice cave tour we made our way back down the mountain to our boiling hot waiting car and set coordinates to our next stop. The "Eagles Nest": also known as Hitler's summer retreat. We crossed the border back into Germany and headed to the town of Obersalzberg. We found the car parking and headed to the ticket desk. Buses are used to ferry tourists up the 6km ...

... to where we first stopped this morning for lunch. 4 laps later, we gave up trying to find parking, the mid 30's temps made the lake so popular, it was literally full. All in all we had a really fun time on all of our day-trip adventures while Barb and Carly were here! It was sad but interesting to learn about the victims of the Third Reich, but also indescribable to see Königssee and the Eagle's Nest. I would definitely recommend seeing all of it if you ever get the opportunity to visit Germany!

Well friends, that's all I've got for now!

Cheers!

We were so happy to see such gorgeous mountains and get out of the city even for just a day. We spent our entire time in awe of Mother ...
