... get to the Eagles Nest 70 years ago. Our first stop were the bunkers that lied hundreds of feet into the mountain. I wish I could have taken pictures (not allowed to) but wow, the bunkers were massive. It took some serious manpower to create this underground city. The walls of the tunnels are close to 5 feet thick and there are over 17 km of underground bunkers. Surprisingly, the bunkers were only used once. The next stop was the Eagle's Nest or ...
