... that just went up and up and up! Such incredible 360 view of Frankfurt though- totally worth it and great photos! We went inside the Cathedral itself too which was beautiful and were able to light candles together :) Beate took us out for hot drinks and then as it gets dark quite early here we took the train home again. ... rushed over to the opposite platform by a man who only spoke Arabic and French. Once we arrived at our platform we needed to buy our ticket. Luckily we found two girls about our age who spoke English and helped us out. We got on the train and arrived safely at our stop. Our hotel is just opposite the train station and is amazing! Our second leg of flying was great, but quite long.. We had good seats and great food again, it's just that by the time we arrived we hadn't seen a bed for 46 hours and sleeping on the plane is never easy.. We had so much fun though and watched sooo many movies :) Landing in Frankfurt (Germany), went well- the only hiccup was catching the train from the airport to main city where our hotel is.. The next morning we decided we needed to walk the old city in daylight to see the walled town. Where the moat used to be is children's playground, nothing that would pass Canadian safety standards but the kids sure looked like they were having fun. The Schloss was built in 1807 and is still used as a hotel and conference centre.

  • We found a nice cafe and had a hot chocolate and slice of cake.
  • On the drive home we bought some turkish doners for dinner and looked at the native animals in a small grassed area near the turkish shops - the kebabs cost around 4 euro here.
