... br>It all began in Wurzburg, the first stop on the Romantic Road. We spent one night there, and toured the town, which was far more modern than I'd expected. We drove the next day to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, which is possibly the most perfectly preserved medieval town in Germany. Really, it's stunning. The entire town is half-timbered buildings. The only problem with it is that it's much like Venice; the entire town exists for tourists, and there's not much real life going on ...

... tent was still fairly full, had a band in full swing, happy Germans raising their glasses to prost, and hundreds of chickens and one cow roasting on spits. Our current favorite dance involves several moves, one being the schwim, must learn. Our meals even came with a free beer, which we tried and acknowledge that yes, it is better than American beer, but it's still beer. And neither of us have gotten over not liking beer. It was funny actually: my first night here Sebastian and I were trying to figure out what to eat and I saw that he had one box of Kraft Dinner from when he lived in Canada.... I couldn't resist! So we had KD with ketchup for dinner! haha Lisa I'm sure you will appreciate my craving haha.

Tomorrow I am off to visit my cousin and his family in Berlin!

We attended a big birthday party this weekend in Stuttgart. It was my boyfriend's grandfather's (Opa, as I now know him) 80th birthday. We celebrated with the entire family in a nice little restaurant in a small town near Stuttgart. I have no idea the name of either of those places.

Caught a night train from Vienna and arrived in Stuttgardt in the morning. Had a great day wandering and seeing the sights. Yet another map from yet another tourist info place. More statues and old buildings (Boring right? Not by a long shot). Still walking around wide-eyed like kids at Disneyland.
