Well...this time honestly I didn´t have time to make travel list or structure my backpack. After finishing my PhD graduation there was time onyl to celebrations and party (since the last months I rarely had much time).
Heidelberg is ...
... to me, switching to English when she figured my smile and nodding for what it was, said she'd lived there for 50 years but loved that magical moments like that still came around.
I left the magical moment up top and ventured to a drearier place, the Studeten Karzen. To boil it down, students who acted up were locked away in five upper rooms with no kitchen or running water for a few weeks. Looks as ...
... br>It all began in Wurzburg, the first stop on the Romantic Road. We spent one night there, and toured the town, which was far more modern than I'd expected. We drove the next day to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, which is possibly the most perfectly preserved medieval town in Germany. Really, it's stunning. The entire town is half-timbered buildings. The only problem with it is that it's much like Venice; the entire town exists for tourists, and there's not much real life going on ...
Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany sql_spice... tent was still fairly full, had a band in full swing, happy Germans raising their glasses to prost, and hundreds of chickens and one cow roasting on spits. Our current favorite dance involves several moves, one being the schwim, must learn. Our meals even came with a free beer, which we tried and acknowledge that yes, it is better than American beer, but it's still beer. And neither of us have gotten over not liking beer. It really is too bad ...

So weit, so gut. Nachdem die erste Strophe vorbei war, begannen die Schüler lauthals zu klatschen ...
Heilbronn, Baden-Württemberg, Germany al_pageWe attended a big birthday party this weekend in Stuttgart. It was my boyfriend's grandfather's (Opa, as I now know him) 80th birthday. We celebrated with the entire family in a nice little restaurant in a small town near Stuttgart. I have no idea the name of either of those places.
We had some free time to explore Stuttgart on Saturday morning so we went to the Wilhelma Zoological and Botanical Gardens. It is a massive ...
... somewhat crispy. We really had no idea how they'd turn out but we were way impressed with ourselves because it turned out to be a very tasty meal!
Dinner and figuring out how we were going to make everything actually took a really long time so after we were done cleaning up, we headed back to the OM office for 8pm prayer meeting. There was a small keyboard in that room and the guy leading the meeting wanted some music so I chose 3 well known hymns from the ...
Caught a night train from Vienna and arrived in Stuttgardt in the morning. Had a great day wandering and seeing the sights. Yet another map from yet another tourist info place. More statues and old buildings (Boring right? Not by a long shot). Still walking around wide-eyed like kids at Disneyland.
Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany danandroz... to **** up any role in the game that he played, most notably when he made the greatest error in the history of Australian soccer, almost costing us a place in the last 16. Thankfully, at its second attempt, Hanrry Kewell's right foot proved to be our saviour; delirium ensuing in Stuttgart and Australia alike. And after a good hour or more of mass Australian crowd singing to classic Australiana like "land down under" and "TNT", we were swept out onto the massive street party ...
