... a diverse and friendly bunch of people who I know I'll be keeping in contact with in the future. Places like this are havens and I'm so lucky to have took a gamble and stayed in DMG rather than a normal hostel. Special thanks to our Australian host Nate, who is my hero for wearing an obscenely brilliant pink 80's jump-suit whilst on the slopes! ... and a snowball fight with Sophie, we decided to head back down as the DJ started cranking up the music. We couldn't believe how lucky we were with the weather as Sue even managed to get some colour into those pale London cheeks.
For dinner we headed to a restaurant nearby recommended by a local we chatted with in the cable car. Massive schnitzels and ribs were the order of the day for our final Austrian meal.

... in his mouth all decked out- we really did look like tourists but we didn't care.

We stopped for lunch at the restaurant at the top of the mountain, and yes Anne, l did get to have goulash soup. I laughed at the coat hooks which were deer horns- very clever.

Most beers I've had in munich so far have tasted strongly of alcohol. In bavaria (and probably all of germany for that matter), beer usually has somewhere between 5-10% ABV. As a tourist, it's pretty easy to come here and get a beer, only to not realize that you are ordering a half-liter or liter sized beer that has 9% ABV, so ...
