... the Hotel door. I do really get annoyed when they do not accept a No. Booked Hotel through and the ads are correct we got a room overlooking the Grande Canal. Bit of sales pitch going on from staff but we ignored that. Went and had lunch and then made our way to Piazza St Marko with a Gondola ride on the way. ... came at a perfect time, just as the sun was setting over Venice. We got the lift back down and went for a walk around Palazzo Ducale. After this we headed back the way we came towards Tronchetto. But before we got there we stopped and had some dinner. As we watched the locals hurry by, we sipped Coronas and had some delicious pasta, it was a great start to our time in Italy. We then headed back to Tronchetto and caught our bus to the hostel, where we hung out in the bar and drank some ...

... So, we got gelato from the same store and j sat down at the same spot where Karl was sat sulking. He counts that as his most memorable, sentimental moment of the trip : ) All in all we loved venice. So unique, with a great vibe (all be it with a few snobs) and a quirky lifestyle. We had lots of laughs and fun. It was nice to relax in such a lovely place, as fatigue is well and truly setting in! Onto Paris then we are coming home (to sleep for a solid week!) Luv ...
