    ... hill maybe 6 blocks, found the place and a sat outside. Service was awful. We couldn't order wine by the carafe so we wound up paying a fortune for four glasses of wine. We shared a pizza (half margarita, half Parma ham) and a salad. I thought there would be some greens in the salad, but nothing green. It had loads of olives, tuna, tomatoes and sardines in it.     ... with their kids. So we have come to stay for two nights and will again stroll the streets and visit the ruins early in the morning before groups 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,and 8 arrive from the cruise ship.

    There is no internet in our hotel room and I am sitting down in some chairs that Gary deems are totally uncomfortable...he is right. but as you can see the view from our room is why we are here.

    ... not a blanket in sight and it's about 15C at most outside and dropping! Venturing out to find the only supermercato to stock up is SO stunning, can't wait to get out and explore tomorrow.

    ... whatsoever, although did manage to sight Mt. Stromboli the morning we arrived. The winds were so strong it brought down power and trees, but we woke this morning to a gorgeous day.

    Our hotel manager as it turns out had lived in Melbourne, knew both Brunetti's and La Porchetta in Carlton, and again this afternoon our taxi driver told us how he too had actually worked for 12mnths at Brunetti's, so it is a world that suddenly got very much smaller.
