28.10.14 Left Vaile Di Caises this morning under a very heavy frost. Thought we would outsmart Bruce the navigator and avoid the Autostrada. It did work and he took us into the Dolomites over Cortina above the tree line with great views which you will see. He also scared the willies out of us with windy steep roads the kind of switch backs you see in the Tour De France. Anyhow our wisdom to avoid the Autostrada turned a two and a half our trip into ...
... After lunch the 5 of us went for a boat ride around Lake Garda which was beautiful. The captain even let each of the boys have a turn steering the boat which they thought was pretty cool. We were then going to go and have a look through a castle but it closed at 1pm! We didn't realize this and got there at 1.30pm. Oh well! We had dinner at the cafe downstairs from our hotel with John Daniela, and then when back to our rooms to pack up ready to head to ...
... we went on so many rides without lining up which we just wouldn't have been able to do otheerwise. It's such a huge place there were many things we didn't see even though we there for nearly 8 hours!!! It was a really fun day and I'm sure will be one of the highlights of the boys trips, it was one of mine too! The kids were so tired we were not even going to attempt going anywhere for dinner So we room service pizza's and gluten free spaghetti (yay!) for me and ...

Having waited ten years
to see the Italian lakes, we were not disappointed. What a wonderful
