... a cold wet day. We visited a Bistro called Sisters ( very apt) where we tried modern versions of traditional opened sandwiches - yum. Next a butcher - very interesting - pork crackling mixed with lard !! Next a visit to a 1 star Michelin restaurant La Degustation that use a modern take on traditional Czech food based on a very old recipe book - apparently by the Czech Julia Childs!! It was the highlight for me, it was amazing!! Then we hopped on the tram, then bus then ...

Bit of a sleep in this morning (YAY!). Another buffet breakfast, then joined a local guide for a walking day tour along the cobbled streets of Prague. Started at the Prague Castle, the largest castle complex in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Originally dating to the 9th century, this landmark, which surrounds St. Vitus Cathedral, bears the mark of each architectural and historical era that it has lived through. To this day, it serves as the seat of ...

Had a great lunch in the Prague Square with hundreds ...

Had a bit of a sleep in today as we opted out of the optional tour of the Warzburg Castle - good thing as well coz it turns out you can't take pics inside, which is the most beautiful part, so glad we decided not to participate in this one. Was well overdue for a lazy start to the day and after breakfast me an Kez and Binna skyped mum and dad and it was good to see their faces and have a quick catchup. Then back on the bus for a 90 minute trip to Nuremburg which is actually in ...

We woke to a glorious day and the city of Prague in a slight fog. We wandered down the hill past the castle, stumbling over an enclosed garden on our way. The walled garden blocked out all the noise of the traffic and provide a tranquil escape to the chaos of trams and traffic just behind the wall. Continuing on to the Old town square we joined up with a free walking tour and spent the next couple of hours ...
