    ... a repeat of the calimari- alas is is closed! (wedding or funeral in family couldn't quite work it out).     ... most are in excellent condition. From the paintings historians have been able to learn a lot about the people of this time, it is a unique site and well worth visiting. We had lunch and then walked into the town to visit the museum which is housed in the exquisite Palazzo Vitelleschi a courtyard centred house. We arrived at Tarquinia which is situated atop of a hill and found the site we were looking for, it closed at dusk, as it was already after 3.00 we decided to visit on the morning, we drove to Tarquinia Lido, about 5 kilometres away to find a camping spot.
