... The drivers were a mixture of nationalities but the further east, the more impatient. No wonder the the Mesirah Island ferry off the east coast of Oman is complete chaos. Before the ramp was down the all male drivers started to manoeuvre in the tiny limited space, why? Annie

    What I learnt today...
To get a decent cup of coffee in Italy I need to ask for a 'café macchiato'. This is an espresso coffee with a little milk. I've been ordering a café latte which is a lot of milk with a little coffee, which is the most insipid coffee. Even though I now know what to order, I've yet to get a hot cup of coffee - at best they are luke warm. I remember this from previous visits to Italy and things have not improved.

Some work was being done on the sea wall, with artifical rocks in the shape of "jacks" scattered in front of the wall to break the motion of the waves.

Still windy, but given the location, not totally unexpected.

... a group - Passenger 'let her go'. Boom - Manu went to put our names down for our group sing-song. Like all karaoke, it takes forever for your name to get called, so unfortunately we didn't sing our song. But I did end the night with a yummy and healthy White & milk chocolate crêpe! WHAT A NIGHT I SAY - WHAT A DAY IN FACT. Back to the B&B for good sleep and a early wake up because tomorrow is MANU'S BIRTHDAY!!!! Let the celebrations begin ...
