... After a moment we recovered our composure and climbed one final flight of stairs to the cafe, where we splurged on a well earned cup of coffee. The views from here were incredible. I've never seen anything even remotely like this before. I think this will be a level of natural beauty that will never again be matched in my life. As always, the photos don't do it justice, but you can get an idea of what we were seeing: a patchwork of green forest, bright blue lakes, and white ...

... your whole trip could come crashing down around you if you do not take these rituals and precautions as the most serious part of the day. Believe me, you get tired and you can get sloppy. I have the laptop of course, this is the only thing I carry in a bag and thus the only thing I need to worry about keeping safe as all the rest of my valuables are on my body.Over 50% of the hotels I have stayed in have not had a safe and of the ones that have had them I have trusted ...

... the best as with it being too late to bother pitching our tents, we unrolled our pads and sleeping bags and slept in a field out under the stars. Sleeping out on a perfectly clear Argentine night with a full moon shining as we looked up at the southern cross is an experience we will never forget. It seemed like the perfect way to turn the page on the excitement of Bariloche, with another bit of bad luck resulting in what we will probably remember as one of the best parts of the ...

... it was an hour and a half walk and relatively easy! (Mind you it was the German guy who has cycled all the way from Germany who said this haha). So pretty enthusiastically the 3 of us set off on our trek up the "hill". Firstly we started walking and were sliding around on the road as there was ice so we promptly returned to the hostel to grab a walking stick each - which was literally a life saver several times on the trip!! We were totally unprepared and ...
