... night and seem to be getting some of my strength back its taken it out of me and luckily have had Ian around to help me. Everytime I got up I just felt dizzy but thats common I think with concussion. Ian had to feed me soup the other day as my hands would not stop shaking but as I said I am feeling a lot better now and even agreed to move on to Opatija which is about 2 hours down the coast and a little ...
Rovinj, Istria, Croatia traceybelle... to sit down as the pain was really getting to me. I knew then that I was going to faint I could tell after fainting a few times before everything goes weird and things start going fast I kinda thought I could stop myself but no joy. The next thing I knew Ian was trying to bring me round after putting me in the recovery position and had some tissue on my head as I had fell head first into 500 year old ...
Rovinj, Istria, Croatia traceybelle... d'Italia, the largest and undoubtly the most beautiful square in Europe overlooking the seafront, and the Molo Audace...all within easy reach!
When your legs start to feel tired, stop for a coffee or a glass of spritz, perhaps in one of the famous places where Joyce, Saba or Svevo used to get inspiration for their masterpieces. Just to mention a couple, Caffè degli Specchi in Piazza Unità, and Caffè San Marco, in via Battisti 18.

... in the other windows, another window was just shutters and flung them open. It was the best room. From there we found one of those islands of contentment that is the incredible restaurant, but not without gedtting lost first. We asked directions of a stalwart gentleman who appeared to be arguing with someone in a 2nd floor window, and he told us to go 200 meters ands (makes walking fingers) go stamps.
So we found the stamps and went ...
... the islands...and istria is all about. So in my opinion the istria region should definitely be top of your list, especially rovinj though its really not the easiest to get to! No trains only buses and no real direct lines...well thats kinda all croatia im finding...unfortunately transportation hassles are just part of traveling. At least its worth it when you make it there!
Feštinsko kraljevstvo is one of the numerous caves in Istria which counts around one thousand of them. The cave is located near Žminj in the village of Feština.
The name “kraljevstvo” (kingdom) was given by children. Children’s imagination, the richness of stalagmite and stalactite shapes which look like curtains, the particularity of their colours from milky white to red and brown, truly ...
So I took about 5 days off work (yeh cos I am working so incredibly hard, haha) and jumped on the train destined for Trieste. The town I have heard about ever since growing up as this was the place my Nonni (grandparents) had lived before moving to Australia 50 odd years ago. So a train ride from Milan to Trieste takes around 5 hours, but because of how great the train system is here, it took me about 6-7 hours there and on the way back!! Stupid train ...
Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy ilovetheworldSorry, too dark for any good pictures, but here are a few attempts. This place is HUGE, with awesome, massive caverns that blow your mind, very impressive and interesting. The remains of the original internal stairs are visible in many spots, built by the original explorers ...
Skocjan, Divača, Slovenia stevelegassick... town past the harbor where tourist boats waited for customers and fisherman repaired their nets in what little shade they could find. Mauro guided us to the far end of town where the new hotel was being built. Directly across from a National park where locals were biking, swimming and enjoying the beautiful woods. We then dropped Father and Tyler back to the tender to head back to the ship.
