Our next flight to Seoul was uneventful and we enjoyed the comfort of the business class service. We settled down for a long wait in Seoul (it was Saturday by now) but after a while some of the Asiana staff came to find us and requested that we consider switching to a Korean Airlines flight as they had a problem with not having enough business class seats on our flight, because they had had ...
... it not as Magnificent. However I decided this was a good place to eat lunch on the steps up to the Cathedral- with a man singing opera in the centre of the square made it a lovely spot. After lunch I headed to the harbour where there was a wonderful Finnish market.
To Finnish the day myself and my flatmate went up onto our rooftop balcony to watch the sunset- a beautiful end to the day!
... the Tallink Silja jetty and alighted at the next stop where we booked tickets to Tallinn for the following day at the Lindaline ferry ticketing counter.
After that we walked along the waterfront and reached Market Square (Kauppatori in Finnish), one of the tourist attractions in the city where lots of people sold fresh Finnish food and souvenirs. All three of us loved the hustle and bustle of local markets anywhere. ...
Flew to Helsinki this evening and arrived at almost midnight to a very weird surprise...it's still light out! WEIRD!! It turns out that we arrived during their 24hrs light so the sun never fully sets, in the north of Finland they even have midnight sun! So the only time it wasn't bright out was between 2:30-3am when it turned to dusk (like our summer 8pm where it's still light but you know you only have an hour left before it's dark) then the sun came up for the day...weirdest feeling ...
