I went hiking today in the national park next to Zakopane on the south side. Hiking is very popular in Poland, I note. At points along the trail there was a queue. Am writing aboard a pokey little bus making its way from Krakow up into the Tatra mountains to a place called Zakopane, which will be home for the next two nights.
