... Donna and Gary , are delightful. So here I am still in Paciano, slowly making lists, filling bags of stuff I can't live without, and mentally preparing for my move to a house in the countryside, about 5 km from the sea (the magnet for me) and in a harbor city of about 40,000 people. A huge change from Paciano , population, 975, with 68 living inside the medieval walls where I am. And, I am so ready for ...

We stopped in Corleone for only about 30 minutes on our way from Palermo to Agrigento. I wish we would have had more time so I could have visited their anti-mafia museum. It was cool to wander around for a bit, though. It was clear that the city was very ashamed of how tourists associate them with their mafia past. The city was actually really clean, nice, and quiet. ... day, it was a great way to drink it and it went really well with the food. As an aside, we've enjoyed a bottle (or two??) of Nero d'Avola since we've been in Sicily. Its a really robust wine that comes in pretty broad spectrums of taste and price. (But even the cheap stuff is good, and I can't tell the difference anyway!!). So, a long slow sunday lunch: lots of food, great wine, surrounded by Italian families doing the same thing. A great way to spend the ...

Poniedzialkowe popoludnie w Mazara del Vallo

Około pierwszej ruszyliśmy z Selinunte w dalszą drogę, do oddalonego o 20-30 km miasta Mazara del Vallo.
