... I think we all needed to hear what she had to say as most of us had just found out that we had been rejected from the DOS for internships this summer (but more on that later). We shared a Panini for lunch and each of us had a large beer. It was just perfect. We took our time getting back to the car, a little more window shopping... We got to our hotel just outside Geneva a whole lot easier than getting into the city. We are staying at an Ibis. It's new so it's quite nice and has everything we need for one night.

... to Geneva was gorgeous! We passed by snow covered mountains, lakes, farms, and small villages that I never would have seen otherwise. Even though the ride is a bit rougher, I think the experience of riding on a train is much less stressful than going to an airport, through security, and then onto a plane. I woke up an hour before my train was scheduled to leave, walked to the lake, and then to the station with plenty of time to spare.
