... for in French, which I don't speak), and grocery shopping (less French required, just "bonjour" and "merci"). I went on a little stroll along the lake with some other students, and we wandered through our neighborhood, seeing if we could get back on our own. There are so many bourgie stores near us: Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Dior, Hermes, etc. I have never seen so many watches in my life... Now everyone is just making dinner and hanging ...

I am pleased to report that after 13 hours of traveling (2 hours at airport before first flight, 1.5 hour flight, 5 hour layover, 8 hour flight, 1 hour at baggage claim, and a 0.5 hour bus ride), I am officially studying abroad in Geneva! We got to our hotel just outside Geneva a whole lot easier than getting into the city. We are staying at an Ibis. It's new so it's quite nice and has everything we need for one night.

Tomorrow night we do a Chamber de Hote which will be a lovely ...

... We are in Athens now. We rode a bus for the hour and a half trip from Eleftherios Venizelos airport in Athens to the port of Piraeus, where our overnight ferry is docked. I am now writing onboard the beautiful Minoan Lines Knossos Palace ferry. This is an overnight ferry and although it doesn't leave Piraeus until 9:00 p.m., we were allowed to go ahead and check into our cabin just after 6:00 p.m. We met a nice man from Athens, Jimmy, as we walked toward the ferry. He ...
