From Osaka we headed back to Tokyo where I would fly home and Tim would continue on to new adventures.
Unfortunatly the weather in Tokyo wasn't any better than it had been in Osaka. It wasn't quite time to check in to the hotel when we arrived, so we battled the rain and dropped our stuff off at the hotel and then headed out to do some souvenir shopping and try to keep dry.

... home! Noise and bright lights are de rigour in Japanese cities - the bigger and brighter the better. It all helped to keep us awake. On one hand it would be hard to feel lonely here with all the buzz, but of course 'bigger and brighter' doesn't mean 'better' quality - and evokes a superficiality of spirit. Staff are polite and the uniforms of hotel staff are smart and tailored with lapels and brass bottoms - where's the parade!?
