It's been a mixed bag on the Canal. Day two. Weather pretty ordinary. Bish hurt his back. Walked into Marseillette found a bar had a couple of drinks. Everything is closed between 12.30 and 1.30 including locks. Some places shops are closed till 4. We moored right outside restaurant at Trebes for night two. ... off elsewhere. Then, one helpful patron then managed to explain to us that we could buy something in the local sandwich shop opposite, and take that back into the pub to eat while we had a drink! How civilised.

Heading back for the train late afternoon, noticed that the petanque competition was going from strength to strength with the champions continuing to beat all challengers. The train trip back in the early evening was so uneventful, we both dozed.
