This meant leaving Croatia behind us, and heading on a train through gorgeous Alpine scenery to Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital. Normally this tour stays in Ljubljana for 2 nights, and only has an afternoon in Bled. However, the hotel had given our ...

... as long as possible and had a beautiful meal looking out over the lake. We joked about how romantic it was as the pianist played love songs and we shared a cake. We decided that, when we are older, wiser and maybe with the men of our dreams, we will return to Lake Bled for longer. It truly is a hidden wonder of Slovenia. After Slovenia, we took our last train to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, to start the next leg of our journey. 4 counties in 7 days is ...
