... clear blue - something like I picture the water around tropical islands to be. Hopefully the camera managed to capture some of the beauty of it all. After our fairly rapid journey we finally rolled into Split and were quite surprised by the size of it, expecting more a seaside port it was in fact a fairly major city, after negotiating the small back streets and a couple of dead ends we finally checked into our accommodation for the night which was a one bedroom apartment 5 minutes from the port and would not have looked out of place in the ritzier postcodes elsewhere in the world.
