... They even left chocolates on our pillows the sweet things. With some time to kill before our walking tour of Olomouc (pronounced Olemoutz) i watched some Czech television of a man cooking in a forest until briony was ready. Great viewing! Didn’t understand much though the man clearly knows his way around a bbq. The city of Olomouc is beautiful especially in the old town which is what we saw. ... is very pretty but have worn myself out by going round Prague yesterday. We went round a cathedral, saw the university that Gregor Mendel went to and had a cider (or beer or wine) in a pub. Still, feel bad for not squeezing the most out of my trip.

... Police have quite a presence in the Czech Republic and in Hungary, however not in black uniforms but plain colours. They are always in pairs and just walk around the main squares and shopping centres, maybe it's to limit crime but they're not intimidating, just there! You never get ice in a cold drink nor do you get asked if you want ice, it's not there! Bicycle helmets - kids have to wear them but not compulsory for adults though the majority of adults in the Czech Republic do wear ...
