This train to Koln is an ICE train - Inter City Express - it moves along like greased lightening. Screens on the train clock the speed. I know we hit 296km at one point. These trains are smooth, quiet, comfortable and, most of all, faassstttt.

Koln at 10:17am. Walk out of the hauptbahnhof in Koln and whammo!!!!! There is the huge gothic cathedral looming gigantic. Not much to say except there is one reference in the crypts in the basement ...

The last day before volunteering was finally upon me and I was very excited and not even the freezing weather that lurks all over the dim city could stop me. For a school tour around Germany I would defiantly organise a set transportation method, unlike walking and catching public transport which is easy enough for just myself but having to organise that for a school group would not work well at all.
