On Sunday, we had a more relaxed day. We exercised and had breakfast. For lunch we went to Éxito. We were able to get two chicken leg quarters, a green lettuce salad, some fresh fruit, and two bottles of water for both of at the deli for about $7.50. Not too bad for lunch! We went across the street to La Bonga for another cappuccino.

In the afternoon, after Scott had a three hour counseling session, we went for our walk again. We ...

We woke up to seeing that it had rained during the night. That made it slightly cooler for our morning walk on the pedestrian trail. This Sabbath morning they had a buffet in the restaurant as there were more people in the hotel last night. It was nice as we could choose what we wanted to eat.

We returned to our room to study and prepare for the afternoon Holy day service. I needed to practice my offertory music, special ...

We were up about 6 AM to exercise. It is cooler--though not cold--in the morning. It is probably in the mid-70's. We walked down to the exercise path next to the river. It is a very pleasant and peaceful area. Today being "Good Friday," there was virtually no one there.

We came back to the hotel, showered, and had breakfast. We ordered the same as yesterday, since that worked then. Today we had a lot of things to do via e-mail. We had to ...

We were up relatively early to walk before the heat of the day made it unbearable. Two blocks west of the hotel is a walking and bike path that goes along the Río Sinú. There is a plan that the path will continue north to the next city--about 11 Km, and also south of the city. There were quite a few people out walking, biking, and taking in the exercise stations. It is a very peaceful and pleasant place to walk.

    We returned to ...

Wednesday was a travel day. We were up at 6:30 AM, ate breakfast, checked out, and met Jairo the taxi driver at 8 AM. We had a relaxing 45 minute drive to the airport. While waiting in line to check in, I met a young man who lives in Chicago, but his whole family is from Medellín. He is studying in Chicago, and in the future he plans to buy property in Chicago and rent it out.

We were scheduled to leave at 10:46 AM, but when we checked in, ...
