... We picked up our groceries for the rally and stocked up on what we could – with GST coming in on April 1st (6%) we wanted to avoid any additional cost. We spent the next day again doing ‘projects’ on the boat – getting the main systems in shape for the long transits ahead and doing some planning for our final couple days in the marina before we depart on April 4th on the rally. We are still working on Ginette’s iPhone ...

Penang itself didn't grab us to begin ...

... the side of the road - Dads first real experience of them! He pulled up beside one group for a photo session.

As soon as we saw the cable cars dangling over a very steep, rocky valley Dad screamed in protest that he would NOT have anything to do with them, however he quickly changed his mind not wanting to miss out on all the fun. Getting there was tough though, crossing a very wobbly rope bridge with moving planks ...

... stay in Malaysia on entry. His visa was up so he had just done a border run into Thailand to get another 3 months on entry into Malaysia. Fabulous!

The border controls to come here were so easy too. We barely noticed we were going through immigration, it was more like just getting a ticket. It is definitely one of the easiest border crossings we have ever done. And we have done a few!

When we were on the boat, we were joined by another whitey; ...
