We had a real treat on our final day of the Festival. A friend of mine, Andrew Joy, who has been Principal Horn in the Cologne Radio Orchestra for many years, agreed to drive down to give the students a master class. He is from Australia originally and has been living in Germany since 1976. He had three very interesting horns with him that everyone had a chance to try. (Not to mention that trying on swimsuits with Sage and Bryn in tow didn't sound like fun.)

However, I really do want to take the kids swimming.Yesterday, after doing our paperwork and grabbing ...

    Luxembourg in a day!!!

Breakfast this morning traditional Moies Iessen, cheeses, salami, lovely fresh rolls, sweet rolls, breads, Pain Au Chocolat, Eights, Croissants, Escargots, and of course jams and Nutella. Bon Appetit.

We headed off to tour around the Duchy of Luxembourg with our lovely host family. Luxembourg is about 80 km long and 40 wide so not a big country but it is the heart of the European Union.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't anything like our hosts, while ...
