          ... just looked terrible.

          Back
in Zermatt I went to explore the town and find somewhere nice for dinner. The
high street is extremely beautiful and well kept and full of typical Swiss
          charm.

          Many
of the buildings are old Swiss concrete style buildings with balcony's and
wonderful artwork etc. but most are constructed of wood and are made in many
          shapes and sizes.

          Walking
up the street I saw a restaurant with a board ...

... the pass it did not look good. Today it was overcast and for sure mighty cold.
As I negotiate the twists and turns up this pass its getting colder every mile. Soon a few drops of rain fell and then it turned to light snow and hail. A terrible freezing wind was blowing and looking at the road surface one could see the hailstones being blown across the surface making it rather slippery.
This pass road sure seemed far more twisty than what it seemed yesterday in all the mist. ...

... times. There are many ancient ruins in this tiny Roman town and we found most of them on our bikes. It was good to explore and surprisingly busy. I have been trying to post an ad on Gumtree to sell the beast for the last few days with much frustration as it won't post. I've finally found out that its from their end and they have technical issues so I've wasted a few hours writing the same advert out several times as there is no way to save it. Lucky I'm not on a tight ...

... the vans and drove to a train station where the vans were driven (with us inside) onto a car train ferry which travelled through a mountain to Tasch where we unloaded the vans, left them in a parking area and caught a train to Zermatt. Here a hotel porter stashed the bags into an electric car and we were able to walk to the hotel unencumbered to arrive at our incredible accommodation used by Captain's Choice Tours. The Chalet Hotel Shonegg is just beautiful. ...

Gornergrat, marmots & a walk down the hill

          ... me?" Funny kid.

Saw some more marmots on the ride down towards Zermatt. I was getting quite good at spotting them in the end (and no, they weren't mailboxes).

Down in the green forest again and with the lure of seeing deer we decided to hop off the train and walk back to town from the closest stop. Bev did really well on the walk down, which was a bit steep in parts. The forest was really lovely here, lots of conifers with bright green new ...
