Only 5kms away from the polish border in the morning, and having had a pretty flat road up until then, I was thinking to myself "it seems like the main road is following a valley so it should be flat all the way through". Well, I soon found out I was wrong. It started 1km from the Polish border. A steep wall to the other side.
