... way past where we were supposed to be and got to see the beautiful Christmas markets and decorations in the main square! Lunch was delicious- real German schnitzel with mushrooms and potatoes!!! Yum! Afterwards Beate took us back to the markets where we tried sugar-coated almonds and walked all the way down to the river :) We visited the Frankfurt Cathedral and walked the 328 steps up the Cathedral tower- haha a decent hike! ... little weird but good. It was funny having three languages on the flight - German, Japanese and English. Getting into Frankfurt airport was overwhelming as it was huge and was about four stories high! I tried to postpone and postpone what would be my final goodbye, but eventually it was inevitable. Eventually I walked through to customs, mum's final goodbye bursting my heart.


My baggage weighted in a mere 18.8 kg, a whole 6 kilo's under the limit.

... their baggage free of charge as it should have been from the beginning since the longest leg of the flight is with American Airlines and that's the baggage policy that should have been used in the first place. An early start to catch my flight from Dublin to Frankfurt. There was an hours delay to the leaving time as someone broke the plane when loading it. Taxi was doing 180 down the autobahn. Went from Frankfurt to Stuttgart to see the Porsche Museum. The train was going at up to 250 kph. Would have liked to have got to the Mercedes Museum as well but ran out of ...
