Endlich ist es soweit! Nach drei Jahren Vorbereitung ist nun endlich der Tag der Abreise gekommen. ... Off to do MORE CAR THINGS tomorrow with a visit to Wolfsburg, home of the VW. Oh goody for JO!! Might do Schnitzel for dinner, seeing that it's traditional. we tried to visit the old Town, but just drove around in circles as the road the Tom Tom suggested was closed for repair.It kept wanting us to go down the same bit of road over and ...
... Normally the trip takes about an hour, but because there was a bit of a traffic jam, we didn't end up parking the car until 10:45am. We then had to walk through the parklands to the shuttlebus which dropped us off at the entrance to Halle 11. Just to give you an idea about how big the whole event is, I will give you some numbers.

- almost 1 Million Visitors
- 11 Days Long
A million visitors in 11 days! ...
... will be about 200 miles to a site just outside Arnhem in the Netherlands. This is just off the route to Ijmuiden and will leave us about 70 miles to the ferry on Monday.
We should arrive in the UK battered but not beaten on Tuesday morning, disembarking by 09:30.

... camera bag was too heavy but would let us board with it if we gave up one of our other bags so I gave up my daypack after taking out the camera and computer and reading book and some other things and we checked it through to Llongwe and hope it makes it there because sure there were some other important things I did not take out.
We then went to the waiting area to board our flight to Addis Ababa aboard an Ethiopian airline.
