... olives, homemade chilli crostini, bruschetta served on thin crisp garlic oiled rounds of roll, and small thin rectangles of parmigiana reggiano, drizzled with thick balsamic and eaten with toothpicks. We had to have the second negroni just to polish off all the nibbles! Then we didn't need dinner, so just had a nice glass of Nero D'Avola to finish (us) off! We've eaten some wonderful Sicilian seafood meals too - it hasn't all been liquid! It's now Friday, and last night we dined ...

The resident 'hotel/stray' cats were also a big hit for the kids, although one managed to swipe Grace a few times! We had hoped there might be some other children to play with... and there were...Grace makes little friends of her own age pretty quickly & there aren't any problems with language or ...

... Nelson, Manuel carefully placed him in Marina's grateful outstretched arms.... And below Nelson was taken. Boy, the sun is out, the sky and sea are a beautiful blue.... Life is good... "For the moment." As Marin would say. Boy, "for the moment" was soooo right.... Milena was gently rolling side to side, as we were about 6 miles away from Lipari.... When all of a sudden, with the sky still blue, and the sun warming our faces, these HUGE rollers were crashing into ...
