I totally forgot to mention two really neat parts of our day yesterday. So, here they are with some neat pics too!

First, during our walk along the city wall we found an exit with a long (and steep) path to the river valley below. From our B&B room we can see the cute village houses down there, so we figured we might as well check it out. For some reason we just keep choosing to walk up and down sleep hills and stairs! ... a mile and a half and took us about an hour giving us beautiful views from different angles on the way. After poking around a few more shops we popped into another recommended café for lunch. ... top. We made it!
The view from the top was so worth it, Tess & I didn't stay up there long as it was too windy & chilly for Lily:)
The only way down was the same way. Deep breath and off we went. Stopping at landings to let others pass who were heading upwards.
We waited for the others in the large hall at the halfway point. It was such a good feeling to get back there!
