... Maybe the food is repetitive, maybe there is only entertainment every other night but overall this holiday was the best holiday me and my girlfriend have ever been on. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the one thing i dont recommend is flying with thomas cook... So please dont be put off by the bad reviews all the snobs have wrote because the holiday is what you make it and the hotel helped us make this holiday fantastic!
Side, Antalya, Turkey stephanberlinToday was the hottest day we have had. We went to the Aspendos theater where the Greeks did their tragedies and the Romans rebuilt it so they could do their own tragedies; gladiators and public executions in front of 15000 people. We then went to the Garden of Tolerance where there is a Christian Church, Jewish Synagogue and a Moslem Mosque. İ sat on the floor of the mosque, on a prayer rug and the İmam read (sang) from the Koran. It was a ...

Paris, France mireillecapponi... and postcards and other junk. I was amused to see low-end bellydance outfits, but no, I didn't buy any of them. After that stop, went further up the river valley. Lots of nice scenery, cool mountains and stuff. Also, bits and pieces here and there of the old Roman aqueducts that used to carry water from the mountains down to the city of Side on the coast. That was one of my favorite parts of the ...

Salcuk, Turkey ants... u cant buy anything. Now dont get me wrong - I love a bit of the unspoilt villages as much the next person but just in the right doses! Maybe thats just the city boy in me at heart. Antalya - great place to while away a carefree day. But I guess it must be the old Catholic guilt complex in me or my innate masochistic suffering tendencies that makes me question (on some level) what I achieved today. Part of my problem when travelling is that I always ...
Antalya, Turkey wadirunner... the deep end - literally in some cases, such as climbing a rock wall and jumping into the sea below (whereas I chickened out and stayed in the water below). Her English is still improving remarkably and she has a great sense of humour and fun. I am not sure if she has learned more English, or if I have learned more about Turkish life in general. My language skills haven't improved greatly but I certainly know more now about Turkey and its people than I did before I met her. And ...
