... to give it a try. I ordered the Lammbratwürste (Südafrikänische Rezept) mit Pfirsich-Aprikosen Confit und Salat (south African recipe for lamb sausage with peach-apricot preserve and salad). I ordered a glass of wine that was a blend of different varieties produced by a regional vintner. Tomorrow I leave for my Freiburg im Briesgau which will be the location of my final ...

... great to get a little taste of Halloween. Today we are just kind of hanging out. Everything in Kaiserslautern is closed because it's Sunday and this is a fairly religious town. We are headed to Munich tomorrow morning. We are going to be on the bus practically all day and wanted snacks so we had to go on to the air force base to go to the store. Holy cow! The base is like mini America. Crazy culture ...

... team fans were separated from everyone else and essentially in a caged area so that no fights could break out. I also saw police in riot gear walking around! Kaiserslautern won 3-1 and I was right in there standing and cheering them on and booing the bad calls. Definite trip highlight! After that it was back to the hotel to watch South Park in German and then to sleep.

Tomorrow we will be stopping in Munich before leaving Germany behind for Austria!
Gute Nacht!
