It's too hot....

... to go home. The campsite is right next door to a swimming lake but it is only small and packed. It has been so hot we haven’t moved from the shade all day. We have been sociable (I know, not like us at all!) and spoke to a Geordie couple. He plays the banjo and has a fine singing voice so he was entertaining his neighbours in the evenings. Tomorrow we leave Germany and head to ...

... taking wedding pictures, and I could completely understand why. The view over the sides was amazing. We could see neighboring towns and a river, which looked like a giant toy set from where we were standing. We saw the world's largest wine barrel and some of us climbed on top of it. It was huge! After that, we bid farewell to the castle and rode a bit on the Funicular(look it up!(:). Hot, sweaty, and tired, we trudged back to the castle and munched on a local bratwurst. It was ...

Well, we all had a good night's sleep last night (about 12 hours worth) and today we plan to actually go and see Germany! We plan to go visit a castle today, so that will be really fun! We'll also see actual German cities and towns today, so that will be really cool! Also, we got this really weird but really nice van. It has 9 seats and tons of leg space, so I like it a lot. Well, we're heading out now! Jer ...

... though, and it was well worth the pain in my thighs and my lungs! After our climb, we had a beer in a random super German-postcard-looking square, and walked to the bus station. No, we weren't going anywhere...we were picking up Chelsea and Cortney!!! The girls decided to come for the weekend! It's so exciting!! We're going to spend the weekend here and then head to Munich for a few days. Traveling together starts ...

... team fans were separated from everyone else and essentially in a caged area so that no fights could break out. I also saw police in riot gear walking around! Kaiserslautern won 3-1 and I was right in there standing and cheering them on and booing the bad calls. Definite trip highlight! After that it was back to the hotel to watch South Park in German and then to sleep.

Tomorrow we will be stopping in Munich before leaving Germany behind for Austria!
Gute Nacht!
