The past couple days has been really fun for me. I got to visit a whole new place in Sendai and had a lot of fun with my fellow students. We visited a shrine in Sendai and it is really quite and peaceful. With people walking slowly to pray for the safety of their child and themselves. Our last stop on our half-day tour was to Chuson-ji Temple. It is most famous for it's Golden Hall, which as you can guess is impressive because it's entirely gold plated. The grounds around it are full of other smaller halls with other religious statues, so we walked around those as well and had ramen for lunch in a restaurant with a beautiful view of a mountain side.

It took a bit over 6 hours return, with a few very steep parts on the way up which tested my muscle strength but got there and was rewarded at the summit with the crater you will see in the pictures. Nothing quite prepared me for this beauty. Just a stopover for a night in Tendo where i arrived late (thank you Japanese Railways for delaying me 3 hours) and left early the next day.
