The Singapore Towers hotel is a great location in Singapore. It is far enough away from some of the busiest parts of town yet easy to get to and from. It is right next to the Newton MRT station. The hotel staff were some of the friendliest I have every encountered. Room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Our stay at the Sheraton Towers was a great choice for us. As active Starwood members, we have stayed in many properties around the world. The towers have an excellent club lounge, good work out facilities, and decent rooms. The hotel is certainly not the best or fanciest (check out the St. Regis!) in Singapore, but we felt very comfortable and satisfied. The service staff was extremely helpful and the location is close to Orchard Road. Whenever we are in Singapore, we always stay here.

Swimming pool is large and very friendly and nice atmosphere.
Breakfast is great and fresh juices!!!!
Staff is helpfull and very nice, they like their job it seems.
Allthough there was made a mistake with the reservation by the hotel, our stay was great and very pleaserable.
Excellent business centre.
One of the best business hotels
This hotel is nicely situated on the quiet side of Scotts Road. The hotel's location is a mere 6-minute walk from the Orchard Road shopping strip, about 150 steps to the underground Newton subway station, and across the street from the Newton Circus Food Centre (outdoor eating). Although the hotel doesn't have much green space, it does have a very large Koi pond, complete with a 20 foot waterfall, which can be viewed from the main dining room. The hotel also has a very attractive, outdoor pool and its surrounding area is pleasantly landscaped.
Over the last three years, this hotel became my home when doing business in Singapore. The first thing you'll notice when your taxi arrives at the front door is the attentive staff that will rush to open the taxi door and greet you cordially. If you are a repeat customer, like me, they will remember your name and say "Welcome home, Mrs. Xxx! Your luggage is attended to immediately and you are directed to the registration area. There, a very efficient staff will greet you and expedite your registration.
You are then guided to your room, the attendant will bring your bags in, turn-on the lights, and explain how the different things work in the room, the air conditioner, the television, etc. In Singapore, tipping is not customary, but as an American, however, I have a bad habit of tipping. The staff here will graciously and politely accept whatever token given them, and will never, ever, stand there looking at you, waiting for a tip!
The hotel offers several type rooms: Deluxe rooms, Towers Rooms, Poolside Rooms, Towers Executive suites, their lovely themed suites, the big suites (the only ones I never got to experience) and the cabanas by the pool.
The rooms are very nicely appointed, indeed. The very thing that has always delighted me about this hotel is the quality of the beds and linens. The beds and feather pillows are so incredibly comfortable you can be sure that you will you have a restful, night's sleep. The linens are of fine Egyptian cotton and are ironed to a crisp. The robe, the slippers and towels are made of a wonderful, terry-cotton and one feels pampered when using these items. The bathroom amenities are also very nice (Molton Brown); I stopped carrying my own shampoo and conditioner in anticipation of using their products!
The Butler service:
If staying in the Executive tower rooms or premium-room category, within 15-20 minutes of arrival, the butler assigned to your room will call you and greet you by last name and ask if you have any items that need to be pressed. The items are quickly picked up and delivered to your room within a couple of hours, faster, if you tell them you are in dire need of presentable clothing! The butler service is a very nice feature and you can call for just about anything you need.
Most excellent service, extremely friendly gentlemen that seem to know the best places where the locals dine! Have had some of the best Chilli Crab in Singapore thanks to their suggestion!
The Dining Room:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in this restaurant, facing the famed, Koi pond. Breakfast is American style buffet or a la carte. The memorable things about having breakfast at this hotel are many, one being the juice lady, as I came to call her. This petite, ever-smiling lady will prepare fresh juices from their well-stocked fruit spread, and will deliver it to your table with the biggest smile you've ever seen! There are usually two cooks at the omelet station; both of them always remember how I like my omelet and so, they always deliver the "usual."
The Dining Room is quite busy in the mornings with the business crowd, but in spite of being full most mornings, the staff still manages to provide very pleasant and efficient service to all guests!
All guests enjoy free use of the fitness facility. Although small, it is well-stocked with the most popular cardio equipment and weight equipment.
In spite of their best efforts, once in a while something will go wrong with the room, restaurant service, etc. However, whenever I have commented about something I perceived to be out of the norm, or was displeased with something, the management went to great lengths to correct the situation right away. They were always profusely apologetic, which may be part of the Asian culture, but indeed, a most welcome attitude.
The staff, from the room maids, door attendants, butlers, waiters and management are extremely pleasant. Always quick with a smile and a greeting!
In the past three years, and after 60 + nights spent at this hotel, I have never walked away from this hotel dissatisfied. By far, this is the most satisfying business hotel I've stayed in, all things considered!
High service standard, definitely recommended!
Staying there for 3 nights, the first impression from the look of the building was rather ageing. But it was paid off by the excellent services provided by hotel staff and a very nice room.
Staff: Attentive, friendly, professional and polite. When we checked in, they asked for our return flight schedule and they told us right away that we can have late check-out until 2pm on the returning day. They also help us with our flight reconfirmation and our dinner reservation at Indochine Waterfront. They did it quickly and sent us a written notification to our room that the the flight was reconfirmed and the seats were booked. A very professional touch.
Room: Surprisingly large bed, with a very soft and comfort threads. All standard amenities are provided. Our room 1523 have a pool view and facing lush green gardens view. Although the bathroom is a bit cramped for us, but all the equipment (hot/cold, hair dryer, taps & lightings are in excellent condition). Air-con works very good. Carpets, bathroom, cupboard, bed and the room overall is spotless, very clean.
Breakfast: Nothing so special, but have a reasonable varieties and in good quality.
Facilities: Decent-sized gym ran by Clark Hatch, with treadmills, steps machine, and a range of weight equipment. They have sauna, too. Pool is medium sized but well maintained. Hardly to see anyone swiming there, so we have the pool all by ourselves on most occassion.
Location: just a stone threw away from Newton MTR Station. Only one/two station from Newton to Orchard/Sommerset. Quiet surroundings (not as hectic as Orchard Rd or Raffles area), easy to get a cab.
Setting a good standard
We stayed for 3 nights on the way to Sydney to holiday with friends. Close to Orchard Road, with usual Sheraton comforts and service. Quality amenities and even a good value hotel bar. We thoroughly recommend the many restaurants in the Chimes complex in the vicinity of the Raffles hotel. We would stay here again as you are assured of a comfortable stay.
Good business hotel
Very comfortable hotel, within a 5-10 minute walk from the Orchard Road shopping area. Rooms are comfortable (ask for one with a view over the pool and garden, rather than over busy Scott Road). Service is friendly. The swimming pool area is very pleasant, and not too crowded.
Food-wise, the buffet breakfast is good. The Italian restaurant is very decent (although the wait-staff were somewhat inexperienced, and made a mistake with my order, although they dealt with the situation well).
All-in-all, a decent five-star hotel - albeit unexceptional; if I wasn't a member of the Starwood loyalty scheme, I'd opt for one of the other Singapore hotels (the Valley Wing of the Shangri-La is in a different league, for example).
This hotel was nice.. beds were a little hard. Service was great. Breakfast was great. Location wasn't all that great, but it is accessible to the major area easily.
Very Nice Hotel
I have traveled to Singapore serveral times on business and this is one of my favorite places. The room is very comfortable and the rate plans cater to business travelers. Make sure to get a rate that includes breakfast, because the juice lady is not to be missed!!
This hotel is fabulous. Daily breakfast and laundry service were both included in the price and I couldn't have hoped for a more curitious staff. The room was clean and comfortable and high speed internet access was very reasonably priced. The view from my room was great and the location (right next to the Newton MRT station and very close to Orchard Road) was really convenient.
Most Incredible Service Ever (really!)
This hotel was the most pleasant surprise of our ten day trip to Singpore in Feb 05. Once you enter, the elegance and architecture tell you what a very special place you're in. Our room was large enough although not cavernous, and had a great view of the pool and the Singapore skyscape. Lots of nice touches were everywhere, including a central console to control all room lighting, three phones, a "real" doorbell, etc. The bed was the best I can remember in a hotel, on par with our ultra-luxury mattress at home.
I only sampled the main restaurant and bar, where food and service were excellent, if not a little pricey when all the taxes were added (the Singapore Govt's fault, not the hotel's). Since this is a 4-5 star property, it's not out of character. The pool was excellent and always open. The Fitness Center is high-end, and we found the main hotel desk staff would open the fitness center if you wanted to work out before it opened at 6am.
The best part of this hotel is the service, which was exceptional even by Singaporean standards. I've traveled the world for the last 30 years, and the staff was unquestionably the most engaged, efficient, and polite team I've ever enjoyed. One button touch on the phone brings whatever services you desire, be it room-service or if you have a special request. I unfortunately became ill on this trip, and the staff saw how uncomfortable I was and obtained a doctor to call on me at the hotel, even though it was Chinese New Years Day when all of Singapore stops working. The fee was negligble, the relief incredible! Every member of staff is gracious, most remember you by name, and provide the best service I've seen anywhere.
I've sampled three other 4-5 star hotels in Singpore, and the Sheraton is the hands down winner in my most humble opinion.
I like this place
This is the usual Sheraton Hotel, with very spacious common areas and nice, comfortable rooms. Very conveniently located to the subway (probably the cleanest, safest and most amazing I have ever seen in my life) and just one stop away from the heart of the shopping district. I really like that, for a reasonable fee, you may enjoy buffet breakfast and have your laundry cleaned. Though it probably caters to several business travellers, I really can't understand why the business centre is not open 24 h.

I woke up on the alarm Sunday morning a beautiful sunny morning in Singapore; I opened the curtains and looked out over the skyline as the sun rose up in the East. My usual gym routine was a bit disturbed by the weekend and a little hangover but off I went all the same, I had broken my headphones in Beijing so was struggling for musical …
Spent 2 days in Singapore which I think was more than enough. I have to admit we are exhausted! We walked around Little India which was ironic since we will be in India within 24 hours. We took a ride on the Singapore Flyer which had pretty good views, but I actually liked their little museum better. They even offer a 5 course dinner in the cabins …
... there. The people of Singapore have been so kind and helpful to us, showing us where to go and changing our money for smaller notes on the bus. The city seems like a lovely place. The marina in particular was a very pretty area. We walked around the marina, along the river, the city and china town before heading back to the airport. I was so ...

I thus stayed just the one night then moved to the Mitraa Hostel not far from Little India the following morning which was much nicer. I then spent the day sightseeing and exploring and to my ...
