... As part of the day we watched the instructor take a circle time with one of the classes. They discussed "1 thing I like about school" and then "1 thing I dont like about school". It was interesting to listen to the childrens responses, they felt able to be open and honest because Circle time is confidential, which is why I'm not sharing any of their worries. The students that were being used were age 13-14, and they reacted a lot better than any of the teachers expected ...

... woken up with what sounds like my old smokers cough - all from the pollution. We visited the "other" side of town yesterday - the "good" side of town where the educated, professional, lighter skinned, westernised Indians who speak fluent Engligh are buying hamburgers and designer jeans. And I have to say, it was more comfortable than the cheaper, dodgy, darker side of town where we're staying... but I do find the polarity a little disturbing.
I'd love to write more, but it's time ...
