This all is the complete opposite of what I expected to see here in Almeria province—and I’m quite pleased by this image. ... any other options, so we stuck the engine on and the sails out and, with 20 knots behind us, made excellent speed to Almerimar, a strange little town populated almost exclusively by non-Spaniards.

We decided to stay for a few days, as they were offering very good deals (hoping to persuade us to spend winter there) and we felt in need of a bit of a break. There ...

... Wall of China joining them.

The humidity and temperature were rising in the period after noon and having seen most of what the township offered, we retreated to airconditioning and late lunch back on the ship before the temperatures peaked out around 2-3pm. Had to be back on board by 3:30pm anyway for sailing.
