Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia keriana... it looked far out it didn't look like it would take us an hour or more to swim to it!! Half way there and jack wanted to give up but there was no way I was going back...so on we went!! Eventually we arrived and what was it...a floating rubbish tip!!ha ha ha ha!! We clambered up onto it, had a look around and then dive back into the water and swam for 20 mins to some rocks!! After clambering up them we began looking for a way back without having to swim for an hour ...
Besut, Terengganu, Malaysia followingmyfeet... for their 2nd year - good to see students widening their horizons.

The Ferry was actually a speedboat limited to 9 passengers from Kuala Bersit to which ever drop off point you wanted on the two Perhentian Islands. There was fantastic organisation to get people onto the allocated boat and so within minutes of arriving at the port we were whisked onto our boat and were off at high speed bouncing along ...
Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia martynandsarah... was water in the hotel, and if there wasn't we would want a big reduction because we would have to buy water (to bathe etc) it turned out that there WAS in fact water, and that will be 60 RM thank you very much. After some intense haggling we got the room for 50 RM, but it's still far more than we thought we would be paying in Malaysia, but when there's nothing else for miles and miles, you have to just pay up. Tomorrow we have ...
Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia 50odd... at a shop to gather some stuff and realised we have not changed our clocks. We have now 7 hours difference with France and 8 with Ireland!

05/03/09. We got up early and Mr Lee brought us to the harbour to take a boat to the Perhentians Islands. There are two: Kecil and Besar. Kecil is supposed to be backpacker oriented and Besar a bit more upmarket. We arrived in Kecil, on Coral Bay because the boat would not go to the ...
Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia leprefrogDay 130 - The speed boat ride was a lot choppier than on the way there, and this time they neglected to hand out life jackets! I was sat nearest the front and was having a very bumpy ride! At Kuala Besut, Fleur etc decided they would get the tourist bus to Penang that left at midday, and I decided to wait with them and get a later bus to Kota Bharu. My plan was to get the Jungle Railway to Taman Negara National Park as I think it would be a ...

Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia oliveramber... phone you but the time difference is harder here so i have to phone you in your morning. Ill try to ring on saturday, if possible. Sis, hope everything is good with the babies and ill try to phone you later. Russells Thought of the Blog You dont always realise how much of an influence the british have had on the history of loads of countries. The people in the countries that used to be in our empire dont seem to hate us that much so we must have not been too bad to them. Maybe.
Kota Bharu, Malaysia russellffc... do though!! From this it was onto the cultural centre, no, no that's naughty don't start yawning, it was fantastic, drumming, Bill got involved Sarah's revenge for the Batak dancing. Followed by unusual martial arts not the youths you usually see but rather portly men going at it in a slightly humourous looking fashion, I'm sure there was some artistic license. Giant shuttlecock kicking well that's pretty self contained. Then finally the really good bit, giant ...
