... and made from corrugated iron panels from the very beginnings of the corrugated iron-age. I might call this real poverty, iron shacks in the jungle, were it not for the proliferation of satellite dishes on top of the shacks. I bet they've got no clean water or anything resembling a bathroom or kitchen but at least they can all be proper Man Utd fans.

We flew to Kota Bharu from Kuching, because it was the furthest north in Malaysia that I could get us on Air Asia. It is very close to the Thai border on the east coast of the peninsula. I don't think we took any photos which is a shame but we were really pleased; it even had a hair dryer which I wasn't expecting and to top it all off we were right next to a mall which meant 1. Quick and easy KFC dinner and 2. Chemist for cold and flu drugs!! I was like a kid in a candy ...

... we also saw a huge sea turtle and loads of clown fish. It was just like 'Finding Nemo' the clown fish were hiding in the enemas and if you swam down towards them they would come out to chase you off. The sea turtle was the same, just laying about waiting for a current to take it off somewhere, occasionally popping up for air. Our evenings were very relaxed. We would pick up a bottle of coke to go with our whiskey on the way back from the beach, have a cold shower and sit on ...
