The road made its way up through a few old and wonderful streets of ancient Italian towns which certainly made it interesting but eventually there was a barrier across the road with a notice on it saying "Road closed, trespassers will be fined" and so it was back down the way I had just come all the way to Bormio.

Walked around up top, but being on slippery ice next to steep slopes is not my idea of fun, we looked around and went into the lovely town of Misurina and had lunch. After taking her home for her afternoon rest, we headed back down the mountain to Fiera, and met up with Anna, Nicola and Monica and headed up a different mountain to a beautiful wildlife look out tower, that Nicola (who is Anna's brother and an architect) designed. Unfortunately it was a little too soon after lunch and as we reached the look out tower, Brodie lost all his lunch :( he definitely takes ...

... br> parallel to the main motorway (which appeared to be elevated on concrete piers
most of its route). The motorway was busy and even the local road was busy, Not
pleasant driving. This is a main north-south arterial route.

Stopped at Camping Corones. Luxurious site, with heated
sanitary facilities and a heated outdoor pool, but somehow we did not like it.
Full of Germans and very “ordered” parking.
