My first stop was just around the corner at the top of the East pass. As this is the best of all three roads up Stelvio I decided as I would not be travelling it I might as well get a few shots from the top.

Thanks for following our blog. Until the next time Travelducks are on the road -- ciao!

Today we went up to San Martino in the morning to Nonna Mela's house for a visit, and to take her out for lunch. She knitted Paul and I a cardigan each, and bought the boys all a T-shirt which was really nice. Nicolas wanted to learn how to knit so she is teaching him, it is very cute to watch. We went to a restaurant in San Martino, and now that we are in the north, the food has changed a little and we can get polenta, salsiccia and tosella, (a really yummy fried ...

We were met by a very nice young man, Werner at the reception when we checked in. He spent a lot of time with us sharing his historical knowledge of the region which we greatly appreciated.

Next morning I was fairly hungry after doing a big hike the day before so at breakfast I was well able for a piece of almost everything from the ...
