... designed to lynch your limbs one at a time. The mini barrel for instance.

The term "mini" could lure a person into thinking this was more of a preparatory drop, like when we say "mini vault" at gymnastics when referring to the soft, squishy blocks that can be assembled to varying heights for the 4 - 8 year olds. Or the mini roll, Cadbury's chocolate log because it's small and inoffensive. With the mini barrel however, it's clear that whoever named it thoughtfully ...

Yep, as suspected it was a sleep in for Lyndon this morning (11:00am!!!) while I on the other hand was fresh as a daisy. So although we had planned to go into town to do some more sightseeing we spent pretty much all day hanging around the house. Poor Annette will be glad to see the back of us tomorrow.

Once Mali was home from school we headed across town for a family trip to Circus Roncalli (not the animal kind, well except for some horses). We had really great ...

In what seemed like no time at all it was time to pick Mali up, so Lyndon and I headed off, on the way home getting Mali to show us a few of the local haunts such as her hockey grounds. It ended up being a very funny trip as Mali kept getting us lost, even turning us into a street that was very quickly a dead-end. The excuse was that she is usually on a bike and it all looks different when directing in a car but we were having none of that. Clearly she is just much ...

... in my opinion. It was certainly hard to imagine the waterways in winter when they turn to ice and can be used for ice skating.

Annette had packed some drinks and a home-made cake that Mali had baked, which we enjoyed for afternoon tea. Mali obviously learned this from mum number one as I doubt she would have seen me bake in her year living with us!

Then it was back in the car for a sightseeing trip around Hamburg. It was a really great way to see the city, not having ...

... events turned the cycling day into one which went well into the night! By 5pm, the signs were saying we were only 20km from Hamburg. Spurred on by tail winds, we thought we’d make a push for Hamburg. Then when we had to stop to fix a flat tyre, we decided we’d stop at the next available guesthouse. Many of the beautiful farm houses had signs out offering rooms, however we then realised we were completely out of cash and didn’t expect ...
