    Early start, an awesome breakfast and dressed in my wedding clothes I set out for the DVA offices for a meeting. Corinne stayed at the hotel and took herself out for a long walk through the streets of Hamburg.

    ... So we ended up turning around and having to negotiate a complicated diversion.

    We arrived at Hamburg at around 2.00 where we checked into the luxurious four star Maddison Hotel which had been booked for us by my business associates from DVA. Pure luxury after our bus. Our bus has a total of 4.5 square meters of living space, now we were thrown into 35 square meters. We nearly lost each other.

Pretty basic with a toilet block only in the motorhome area and main facilities and showers etc. up the road and across the dyke but at 13euro a night, it's just what we needed for this quick journey breaker.
