    ... the way we talked about both our families, where they are from and what we know. Like in many communities in Poland this town had been 90% Jewish. You would not know it, only 70 years later!!! We found a map of the city once we entered and on there were 2 Jewish stars, one which indicated where the synagogue was and one where the cemetery was. Now to try and find them.
    Well we did and we believe the pictures below identified the areas we found.

    After another fabulous breakfast Andrzej took us out for the morning. Our travels took us through the town of Aleksandrow. It was a village over 8km long. There was just the one long street in the village. It was really odd but interesting to see all the different kinds of houses. Our destination was Gorecko Koscielne.     ... picturesque. We also went for a walk. There was a new park area with ponds. Very beautiful except for the art installation of scary dolls hanging in baskets. We to a leisurely stroll through the forest. The trees were magically. It was nice to finally be inside a forest instead of just looking at one. The path lead to a lake with a sandy beach.     ... camp but were transported here from others. We decided not to go to the crematorium as we have seen that before at Auschwitz and found it extremely disturbing. We only walked down half of the site which was huge. Only a handful of barracks have been preserved but there is a double fence and towers giving the feel for the scale.
