... was a quick drive tour around the city to orientate us a bit. It got totally dark by 4:45pm and was a bit rainy so I'm looking forward to exploring properly tomorrow! That afternoon we
visited the Konigstein Fortress, this again is another wonderful feet of
engineering and a very interesting place to explore.
Our accommodation in
Dresden was at the A&O Hotel, this is a basic but excellent value hotel
that appeared to cater to all age groups regardless and was again in the city
and a very good base from which to explore the city on foot.
... night we went to the Sony Centre to see a movie - This is the end, which was hilarious. The following day we met up with loreto girls and the shore boys and all went to the Barn cafe, a coffee shop we found with the most amazing coffees!! We then all walked to the Jewish museum and spent a few hours looking around there. We went out that night to matrix which was alot of fun! Jack and I went shopping the next day ...
... and looked at college stuff. It was almost 11 already, so I only had an hour before we left to go eat Mittagessen(lunch(but, an easy way to remember it for those who always get confused with the little German I know, especially these longer words, it is "Mittag" midday/noon "Essen" food/meal. The Germans like to put nouns together, making it "Mittagessen" midday meal, better known as 'lunch')).
